The Ministry of Education has revealed its plans to install solar panels in every public school across the country.
According to Joel Kamoko, the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary for Technical Services, this initiative is designed to provide a dependable power supply and reduce the impact of load shedding.
Mr. Kamoko has since urged the public to adopt solar energy as a practical alternative.
Additionally, ZESCO Spokesperson Matongo Maumbi called on all sectors, including those that were previously exempt, to invest in backup power sources to help ease the power crisis.
