The case involving Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Raphael Nakacinda, who is charged with failing to comply with a lawful summons, could not proceed as state witnesses were not present in court.
Nakacinda appeared before Lusaka Resident Magistrate Mbuywana Sinvula, having previously pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He is accused of failing to comply with a lawful summons issued by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) between November 4 and November 7, 2022, in Lusaka.
The case has been adjourned to March 26.
Nakacinda faces one count of failing to comply with a lawful summons, order, or directive of the commission or an officer of the commission, contrary to Section 18(1) of the Electoral Commission Act No. 25 of 2016.
