The Zambia Meteorological Department has advised that the windy and low-temperature weather conditions being experienced in most parts of the country will continue until 28 June.
Four provinces—Lusaka, Central, Muchinga, and Eastern—will also experience cloudy and drizzly weather.
“This kind of weather pattern is necessitated by a strong high-pressure system over the south-east coast of South Africa, inducing a strong and cool airflow over most parts of the country,” the alert read.
The public is advised to keep warm and avoid open areas, which are usually dusty, to avoid ill health, including increased cases of flu.
